Dr. Jonathan Hardy is Reader in Media Studies at the University of East London, and teaches political economy of media at Goldsmiths College, University of London. He is the author of Western Media Systems (2008), Cross-Media Promotion (2010) and Critical Political Economic of the Media: An Introduction. He is co-editor of The Advertising Handbook (2009).
He writes on media, marketing communications, regulation and policy. He is Secretary of the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom, a UK media reform group
